Marisol's trunk

Okay...how big is it in comparison to the regular trunks?

DD just told me that she thinks DH will feel bad that I ordered a trunk, after he made me one for Christmas. If it isn't any where near as nice as the regular trunks, it will be okay. The trunk he made me is a lot nicer than the AG trunks.

I'm not doing very well, lately!

Jenny, it is not comparable to the historical dolls trunks. It is good for Marisol's clothes and accessories. I like it, but I think you should stick to the trunk your DH made for you.

Dionne..I will stick with the trunk DH made. I really only bought Marisol's trunk to get the jazz outfit! DD just thought that I was going to hurt dh's feelings by ordering a trunk. I never even thought of it that way, because I was under the impression that it was nothing special.

I don't think you should feel bad. I am under the same impression regarding Marisol's trunk. Other members here have said that all of her dance clothes fits inside so I would just consider it a theatre trunk. Certainly not in the same league with the heirloom that you have. It is just a handy place to store dance things backstage and if the time comes when you might have to sell Marisol, she would be worth lots more with her trunk. [img]wink.gif[/img]

How much does Mari's trunk fit? I was thinking about geting it just to store my dolls' accessories in it. I don't have much. Right now I am using a hatbox. Does anybody have pictures of the inside? I wish there was a way to buy the trunk without all the accessories! I really just want the trunk and don't want to spend the $48!

Stephanie, Marisol's trunk is not nearly as large as the historical ones. It is what, a foot wide? 8" tall? I don't have it, but got to see it at AGP today. It would hold some accessories, but not too many large things like Samantha's hats. If you want just the trunk, try calling CS to see if it is available as a replacement part.

Jenny, I really like it but it is not in any way comparable to the one your DH made you. He will not be offended in the least. This one is more toy-like and flashy, not beautiful and sentimental.
